In 1984, environmental attorney Wayne Robertson designed a product that would safely and efficiently burn used oil. After several months of research into product design and the properties of waste oil, Wayne hired two engineers Gene Briggs and Chris Gansel. Together, they began developing their used-oil heater. They named the company Black Gold and turned their passion for engineering and research into six design patents and a proprietary technology that would break new ground in terms of reliability and efficiency. In 2002, Black Gold became EnergyLogic.
Today, our waste oil heaters and boilers continue to lead the field in terms of technology, reliability and cost of ownership. These onsite recycling systems provide an environmentally-friendly manner for recycling used oil onsite. There are tens of thousands of these energy saving solutions currently in use from small garages to the largest corporations in the world.
As part of our commitment to reducing our customers' energy expenses, we broadened our offering to include high volume, low speed fans. Partnering with MacroAir, the innovators of the highly efficient, six-blade HVLS fan, we are able to provide fully integrated heating and cooling solutions that reduce year-round energy expenses and improve comfort.
