What is an HVLS fan? How is it different from a traditional fan?

HVLS stands for high-volume, low-speed… 

…meaning that the fan moves much more air than a traditional fan, while rotating fewer times in a similar period, improving the overall efficiency of the ventilation achieved. Another big factor that separates HVLS fans from normal fans is the size of their blades (or airfoils). HVLS fans have longer blades so that they can generate large convections of air that travel farther and affect a greater area than traditional fans. This enables HVLS fans to thoroughly circulate the air in commercial and industrial applications that have large open areas like warehouses, hangars, sports arenas, terminal concourses, etc.

What is evaporative cooling and how does it protect my inventory and make my space more comfortable and productive?

The answer to this one is no sweat

…actually, it is sweat! Evaporative cooling takes advantage of water’s capability to remove energy (heat) as it changes from liquid to vapor and moves from one place to another. This is why we sweat to cool off and animals that don’t sweat find other sources of moisture to achieve evaporative cooling.

HVLS fans are so effective at moving air and equalizing temperature and humidity in a space, they can make the air feel up to 8 degrees cooler just by keeping humid, stagnant air from collecting around occupants. This, in turn, lets the occupants feel more comfortable and at ease with the task they are engaged in.

What is destratification and how can a fan make my space warmer in winter?

Worse, once heat gets trapped near your ceilings, it can stagnate and be hard to circulate back into the rest of the air in your space. What maintenance does an HVLS fan need?
